Taraba Television Corporation aka TvTaraba was established on 1st January 1992. It got its legal backing through Taraba State of Nigeria, Taraba State Corporation edict no.3 of 1995. It was licensed by the National Broadcasting Communication, NBC in the same year.

Taraba Television Corporation started transmission on 2nd April 1993 with a 30W transposer on Jalingo mountain. The permanent site of Taraba Television Corporation at Mallum satellite town was commissioned by the then president and commander in chief of the armed forces of Nigeria, Chief Olusengun Obasanjo on the 6th of December 2001.

Tv Taraba presently transmits on 10kw transmitter on UHF channel 22. The transmition equipment have been fully digitalized by the present Governor of the state, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishiaku.

The Station covers a major part of the state. Neighboring states like Adamawa, Gombe and Plateau are linked to the Executive Radiating Power (ERP) of our new transmitters recently installed by Pinnacle communications.

Taraba Television corporation (TV- Taraba) Transmits Mondays to Sundays (7:00am – 12:00pm) With local, National and Foreign programmes and news.
